6.5" x 4.5"

Graphite, charcoal, ink, acrylic paint, foil, glitter, assorted beads

Landscapes in many places now have been reconfigured and disrupted as society has grown. This includes a blurring of the lines between society and nature. This can be understood as wild animals passing through a neighborhood or litter collected in the natural spaces. Specifically, this set of abstract mixed media pieces is based on the artist's observation of litter in a nature preserve from their collected experiences picking up trash in the area. The artist explores how to represent a landscape disrupted by litter with a lighthearted attitude through the use of various materials.
